Flying Blind Without Fear

streetlights700

Sitting here preparing for bed, trying to relax and get into sleep mode. The house is quiet except for the hum of the box fan and the clicking from my typing fingers. I’m watching a small brown bat catching insects around the street light at the end of our driveway and marveling at his speed and agility despite being visually blind. Thinking about how that bat trusts it’s radar to keep it from crashing head first into something. It flies freely, without fear. As believers in the One True G-d of Israel, we should be trusting in His radar, the Torah, to keep us from crashing head first into things that can hurt us. And if we just trust Him, we can fly freely, with abandon and without fear, even in the darkest night, knowing the Creator of all things guides US with HIS precision radar!
